Collect observations for site-built single-family, manufactured-home, and multifamily work, including wall cavities and manufactured-home underbellies. Supported program photo prompts appear beside the relevant field section. Field Visit Readiness identifies missing observations and follow-up before completion.
Use PDF or text for program entry, HPXML 5.0 for compatible software, or Weatherization JSON for supported observations in published audit field names. It reflects the saved version of your visit. Return to the same active Job and run Assessment Check to catch omissions, different values, and transcription errors before submission—and help ensure you don’t submit incorrect information in your documentation.

Jobs, housing-specific field workflows, Field Visit Readiness, Field Visit Exports, and national Assessment Check support site-built single-family, manufactured-home, and multifamily work across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. FieldScout uses DOE/NREL Standard Work Specifications as a trusted national foundation and adds proprietary workflows built from real Weatherization field experience. Current state and program requirements still govern your work. ScopeBook and WAP Chat depend on jurisdictional availability: each is offered where its applicable source content is ready and the tool is enabled. If ScopeBook or WAP Chat isn't available for your jurisdiction yet, we'll begin work on that coverage immediately after your purchase. Coverage becomes available after review and activation; a launch date is not guaranteed.
Yes. Choose Individual for one full-access account. You don't need an Agency subscription to use FieldScout for your own work. Your Jobs stay within your Individual account.
No. We built FieldScout from Weatherization field experience, and independent energy auditors, home inspectors, HVAC technicians, insulation professionals, and home-performance contractors can use it too. Choose the tools that fit your work.
A Job holds the saved information and tool results for one address. Field Visit is the onsite walkthrough. Save a named Field Visit within the Job alongside calculations, equipment lookups, sketches, and assessment reports.
After verified payment, create your password and start work. Individual owners manage their subscription in Billing. Agency Leads finish agency setup, manage the team roster, and invite the other purchased users.
Field Visit gives you a PDF or text handoff and an HPXML 5.0 file for compatible software. Weatherization JSON adds published audit field names and units for supported observations. Then bring the completed assessment back and use Assessment Check before submission to help ensure you don’t submit incorrect information in your documentation.

Yes, for a visit prepared on the same browser and device while connected. Wait for device protection to be ready before leaving coverage. You can keep entering observations through coverage loss and reopen that prepared visit offline. Reconnect and open the visit to sync. New Jobs, server-dependent tools, completion validation, sketch generation, and export require internet. Use a protected device; signing out or clearing browser storage can remove unsynced entries.
No. You can use equipment lookups, calculators, and Site Sketch without creating a Job. Choose a Job when you want to save supported results to an address. Field Visit is optional.
Paid-user increases can take effect after review and confirmation. Reductions and annual-to-monthly changes begin at renewal.
Monthly subscriptions may be canceled at any time before the next monthly billing. Payments already made are nonrefundable. Annual subscriptions may be canceled at any time before the next annual renewal. No prorated or partial refunds are provided.
